It's great that your interest in Network Marketing brought you here. This is where you'll find my collection of MLM and home business resources that will help you build a sustainable business and an exciting long-term income - whether you are brand new to MLM and just getting started or a veteran looking for additional tools to accellerate your multi-level marketing income.

A Big Thank You - first let me tell you that the MLM progress I've achieved in the past 10 years would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of my friends and mentors: Thanks to Steve Moore who introduced me to MLM, and Art Jonak and Tom Schreiter, who showed me how a guy with very ordinary talent could pick up the skills to launch a rewarding second career. more super people...

Let me tell you a secret ...
Network Marketing is a business, and you will have more success and a lot more fun if you treat it like one! It's a fact - people admire and respect a business person and your self-esteem will soar along with your net-worth. Personally, I hate paperwork and forms and any details which keep me from what I love - yakking it up with people and helping folks define and reach their goals. Please don't ask me about the intricacies of the pay plan or the secret ingredients or when the next big event is. Some folks are great at that - I'm not, so I have tools to do those jobs. Maybe you'd like to use them to free up your time for prospecting and sales ... activities that make money!

"Your sponsor has disappeared and your new recruits are avoiding you...
· you've tried every trick and sales gimmick from the Company manual and you still aren't getting ahead...
· you are spending more on personal purchases, brochures and samples than you're taking in from retail sales...
· you built a sizable downline and a pretty good bonus checks, but there are rumors about a shake-up that might leave the Company - and you - high and dry ...
· you're wondering if your advertising dollars are really producing results...
· you wake up at 3:00AM wondering if the big break is ever going to come ...
· you want a personalized daily action plan that will guide you quickly to MLM success!"

THE Number One Secret To MLM Success

When people get into multilevel marketing (MLM) they are thinking about one question: How do I make more money without having to work for it? Fortunately, MLM has the ability to do this, but only if you use it in the right way.

Imagine this...You wake up in the morning and throw on your bathrobe. You walk down the tile hall of your enormous house but your feet are not cold because you had one of those expensive heated tile systems installed. You sit down at your computer with your favorite morning beverage and login to your MLM site. You discover that you made another $5,000.00 yesterday without doing a bit of work. Five minutes later, you walk over to your ocean front deck, and decide what to do with the rest of your day, now that your work is done.

That type of lifestyle can be yours IF you do MLM the right way. If you have previously been given advice about how to be successful with MLM, you've probably heard tips about how to pick the right program, choosing a product to sell, etc. These things are all important, but there is one idea that is of primary importance and I will describe it below.

Here is the NUMBER ONE secret to MLM success: Don't sell the PRODUCT or the PROGRAM, sell the DREAM. That's it. It is very simple. Look at the second paragraph of this article. What I am doing is describing a dream lifestyle. THAT is what you are selling. Don't try to convince people that your program has all the right features or your product is a guaranteed winner. Nobody cares about that. People want to make money and improve their lives. So tell them how they can do that by joining your program.

Again, it is very simple, SELL THE DREAM. When you have a new prospect/lead or you are designing a website to attract new signups, describe the lifestyle that they can have if they succeed with your program. It is instant motivation.

All you have to do is describe the life that people want to live. Look at my second paragraph. Basically, I'm talking about a guy who doesn't have to work to make tons of money and spends the rest of his time relaxing. In your description, use the words "you" and "your." This will make people internalize the description. You can start out your description with phrases like "imagine this" or "before we get started, I'd like you to picture this..." Describe a life of luxury. Usually this involves waking up whenever you want, doing whatever you want, buying the things you want, having tons of time, and not having to work. This is a powerful technique that copywriters have been using for years.

Here is another lifestyle description. I will describe the DREAM again. Notice how you feel when you read it. This is what you want your prospects to feel:

"Before we get started, I'd like you to picture this: You just woke-up after a very restful sleep. You decide to take a swim in your pool before going to work. You dive into the pool and are instantly refreshed. When you get out, you throw on your robe and walk 3 feet to your office. You sit down to your computer, send a few emails, and check your MLM account balance. Yesterday, you made $7,000. Not bad for 5 minutes of work. You decide to get back into the pool and plan what to buy with your $7,000."

See, it is exciting. So that's it, the number one MLM tip. Now go out, join an MLM program,...and start selling the DREAM!

To use or not to use the 'mlm' word?

by: Kim Klaver, aka Ms. Stud

Excerpt from 'Rules for the New New MLMer'
CLICK HERE to Download the Book Now!

If they say: Is this mlm? Or network marketing? Is this a pyramid?

You can say: Well, let me tell you what we do, and you can call it whatever you want, ok? OR: Only if you're really good...(see pp. 80-81 for these two complete routines )
CLICK HERE to Download the Book Now!

Some people asked if this redirection was not tantamount to 'hiding' or 'concealing' that it's mlm. They asked:

Can't we just say "Yes, it's mlm and I'm proud of it?" Or, "Well it is mlm but it's not what you think..." or "Well it's not a pyramid, really..." or "Your company's a pyramid, too." Etc.

Well, I never said or taught anything other than the two routines above after the first few months of doing the business, because:

1. I ended up spending hours with people over the definition of mlm, pyramids, etc. And mostly, the people 'arguing' had NO experience of their own. It was hearsay from others, and often, those people had just heard about someone else with a garage full of stuff.

2. I discovered after hundreds of hours of conversations of this sort, that the perceptions these people had of 'mlm' did not represent even slightly how I was practicing the business. So I decided on a new response set, to avoid bringing up in their minds perceptions that did not represent the way I practiced.

So when people asked: Is it a pyramid? MLM? Network marketing?

The standard answer was (and still is for all my students) the same:

"Let me tell you what we do and you can call it whatever you want, ok?" (see pp. 80-81 for the whole routine )
CLICK HERE to Download the Book Now!

I found this question cracks open people's minds momentarily, so we could tell them what we actually did (per the script on pp. 80-81 )CLICK HERE to Download the Book Now! They then responded to THAT, not to their previous perception, which I never got into anymore.

Here's how countless people responded to our answer after they gave us permission to tell:

"Oh, great. I think I could do that! For a minute I thought it was one of those things."

Amazing. That response from prospects made this clear: whatever they thought 'mlm' was, that they didn't like, it was not what my team was practicing, nor what new new mlmers practice. So we stopped discussing their definitions, and slipped in ours in this manner.

Why spend time arguing about someone's perception of a word when their definition is probably not the thing you do as new new mlmers anyway? Remember, do you want to make it in your lifetime?

Maybe the title of this little book will help.

P.S. They're probably thinking of the horrors of the old mlm, anyway.

Basic FEARS and SOLUTIONS for NEW people in MLM

by: Dave Roller

It is natural to experience certain fears when beginning a new business. The most common fear is that of failure. It is important to realize that most people feel fear to some degree.

What is even more important is that you DO NOT take it personally.

Here are a few BASIC fears that new people have, and some practical solutions.....

The FEAR that your prospect is not interested.

SOLUTION:
Realize that it's a numbers game. Many people will be interested in your business; however, a number of people will NOT be.When dealing with those not interested, simply ask for referrals. Chances are that they know someone who will be interested.

The FEAR of what others will THINK.

SOLUTION:
No matter what you do or do not do, there will always be those who wish you well and those who do not. Ask yourself these questions....

"Is the company I'm with reputable?"
"Does the product/service offer VALUE?"

Yes?

Then be proud of your company, be proud of YOURSELF....and GO for it!

The FEAR that you do not have enough TIME to do a good job.

SOLUTION:
One of the many strengths of MLM is that there is help if you ask for it. Use your UPLINE!

Also, there is the magic of duplicating your efforts through others. In fact, if you are extremely busy, you will be forced by your personal lack of time to delegate leadership to other people. "Lack of Time" is a poor excuse. It's just a matter of setting priorities and balancing your time.

The FEAR that you won't be able to answer the questions that a prospect will have.

SOLUTION:
Simply say this...."Let me write down your question and I will call you with an answer tomorrow."

Using tools from your company will help eliminate many questions you may not be able to answer.

BOTTOM line.....

Success is not reserved for the talented. It is there for those who "go after it".

Over 100 years ago, Abraham Lincoln said....

"Things may come to those who wait, but only those things left over by those who hustle."

THINK about that statement!

Let it have a lasting impression on you!

THE MLM LEGALITY TEST

by: Gerald P. Nehra

There are many characteristics, or "red flags," that distinguish an illegal pyramid from a legitimate multi-level income opportunity (often shortened to MLM). They have been written about often in many publications and, by necessity, often contain legal terms and industry jargon. Also, danger signs of a few years ago may have been camouflaged or fixed by the newest drafters of plans, so one needs to be on guard for new and different twists.

Is there a simple, easy to apply test one can give to an income opportunity that addresses the pyramid law risk without all the pyramid law legal terminology? There is. What follows addresses that need. It is the single-level test for the multi-level income opportunity. It goes like this: Can one make some money SINGLE-LEVEL, that is, without sponsoring another income opportunity seeker? Note the specific use of the word "can," not the word "would." It is usually a given that the income opportunity prospect is urged to sponsor and that the income opportunity presenter will say or imply that the "real money" is in building a group. But that is usually O.K., SO LONG AS those who choose not to sponsor at all CAN STILL MAKE MONEY. Note also the use of the word "MAKE." It's "MAKE MONEY," not "SPEND MONEY," meaning paying income taxes if the gross income exceeds expenses associated with producing the income. Buying for personal use at distributor prices rather than customer prices, while a savings, does not genera te INCOME upon which one is required to pay taxes. Buying for personal use by itself is not an income opportunity. If the proposed income opportunity consists ONLY of buying for personal use and sponsoring more representatives, with no provision for sales to customers, it is flawed.

This simple test needs to be applied to two aspects of an income opportunity. The first aspect is the design. What do the company documents say about how one makes money? How does the compensation plan work? Not all the fine details of every commission, bonus, or reward need be understood; but simply, can one make SOME money without sponsoring? Remember, one does not MAKE money when one buys any product or service for personal use. The application of this test should in no way imply that there is anything wrong or illegal about personal consumption. It is just that it alone cannot be the sole basis for an income opportunity.

The second aspect of the application of the test is the plan implementation. Some plans are designed correctly but are flawed in the implementation. Can one make money, even without sponsoring, as the plan is being taught and implemented by the prospective sponsor and the distributors closely associated with him or her? If there is no acknowledgment or support for the non-sponsoring participant in the income opportunity, something is wrong, maybe not in the design, but surely in the implementation. Reputable and legally designed and implemented multi-level income opportunities provide a money making opportunity SINGLE LEVEL to those who choose not to sponsor. Of course, if one sponsors others, then ADDITIONAL money making opportunities exist when those sponsored generate sales.

Apply this test to multi-level income opportunities. Look at the plan design, and look at the way the plan is being implemented by the prospective sponsor and associates. If the ONLY WAY to make money is by sponsoring, STAY AWAY, the plan is fatally flawed.

The Insider's Secret to MLM Success

by: Tom 'Big Al' Schreiter

An excerpt from Big Al's Super Prospecting: Special Offers & Quick-Start Systems

Why do some MLM distributors consistently make terrible choices, lose money, watch their MLM companies crumble, and lead a life of frustration with no results for their efforts?

Why do some MLM distributors make the right choices and build successful MLM businesses?

It's simple. Consider this situation.

You are standing in a room with three doors. Behind each door is an opportunity, a path that will lead you to either success or failure. You don't know what kind of opportunity or success lies behind each door, so you have three options.

1. You can stay standing. Don't make a choice or a commitment. Just don't do anything. Stay where you are in life.

A lot of people make this choice. It's easier to watch TV, complain about your job, and hope that the government will raise wages, lower prices, and eliminate taxes. Yeah, that's a great business plan for success. Just cross your fingers and hope that something good will happen. After all, why take chances? Your neighbors and co-workers will only criticize your efforts to be different. They want you to stay behind with them. Misery really does love company.

2. Blindly pick a door. Maybe you feel lucky, hope that hype will work in your favor, or feel good about the vibes from picking your lucky number.

Does trial and error work? Yes. But it works very, very slowly. If it takes a lifetime of mistakes to find the right path to MLM success, you won't have much time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Should you re-invent the wheel? Should you repeat someone else's mistakes? "Practice makes perfect" really isn't true. Practice only perfects your ability to make the same mistake over and over again.

3. Ask someone what is behind those doors.

That's the power a mentor can add to your "desire for success." Doesn't it make sense to simply ask someone what is behind the three doors? Why take chances with your life? Why leave your MLM success subject to guessing, finger crossing, and a lottery mentality?

Finding a mentor can take years off your path to MLM success. A mentor can help you avoid disasters and can make sure your work accumulates to attain your personal success. There is nothing more frustrating than seeing lots of your effort wasted. Too many people work hard in MLM only to find that they have to start over again and again. Ouch!!!

Your mentor can share with you the experiences of others. While other people have paid the price of trial and error, your mentor can give these results for free. That sure beats getting a flat forehead from beating your head against a brick wall from frustration.

Your mentor can ask about your goals, time commitment, experience, and preferences. He will ask about your present and desired lifestyle, if you like to retail, or how comfortable you are with different styles of sponsoring and business building.

Your mentor can guide you through the minefields of "hype." He can tell you if one person made a big check at the expense of 100 people receiving no check. He will show you the pitfalls of short-term strategies. And, you will find out what really works - and what doesn't.

The successful big earners in MLM built their businesses from using two successful strategies:

Strategy #1 for MLM success: If you want to learn how to be successful in MLM, learn from someone who is already successful. Become a Siamese twin to a successful MLM leader who you can relate to. Make her or him your best friend and companion.

Sounds simple, but new distributors almost always violate this strategy. If you want to earn $100,000 a year, would you ask a neighbor who earns $40,000 a year how to do it? Would you value his opinion and advice in this matter? Would you take your $100,000 opportunity to him for his review and decision?

No. Of course not.

If your neighbor knew how to earn $100,000 a year, he certainly wouldn't be earning only $40,000 a year. You wouldn't take your plumbing problems to your lawyer. You wouldn't expect your dentist to have the teaching skills to educate your children. And you certainly wouldn't go to your government for business advice - they only know how to produce deficits!

So, whom does the new distributor ask for advice on his new MLM opportunity? His neighbor who says the secret to success is to watch plenty of TV and to choose lucky numbers in the lottery? A friend who tried to build an MLM business but failed? Or, should the new distributor ask his attorney because he received a degree for memorizing law books and legal codes?

Your strategy for MLM success is to get advice and guidance from someone who knows how to be successful in MLM. So, find your mentor first, and then follow your mentor's advice. Don't take bad advice from unqualified friends and enemies.

Strategy #2 for MLM success: Learn from someone who has a system for success that you can follow.

There are many great athletes who are naturals. With very little training and instruction they reach high levels of success. While they may be excellent performers, they may not have the ability to transfer their knowledge to you. When you ask one of these gifted, natural athletes how they do it, they'll say, "Gosh, I just go out and do it."

That's not the kind of instruction you want.

You want specific instructions, a step-by-step approach, a proven path to your MLM success. Make sure your mentor has a "guaranteed" success plan that works.

How do you know your mentor's plan works? Simply ask for the names of people who have used the plan and observe their progress. If the mentor is successful, but his personally-sponsored distributors are struggling, what do you think will happen to you?

If the mentor is successful, and his personally-sponsored distributors are successful, that's the place you want to be.

It would be nice if you could learn MLM success from high school, a university, or from watching a Saturday morning TV. But you can't. If you really want MLM success, use these two-mentor strategies to turbocharge your MLM career.

Cure Those MLM Woes

Whether you are new to MLM or have been around for a while, there is one thing you have probably already learned -- This Business Is Tough!! There is stiff competition out there and everyone is scrambling around trying to get in on all the money that is pouring in. You hear about things you must do to get top search engine listings. You try to figure out how to get the biggest bang for your buck in advertising dollars. You are constantly trying to figure out how to grow your downline. We all see offers everyday, that tell us how someone else can solve all our problems --for a price. You may find an opportunity or marketing plan that really helps you -- and I hope you do, but you need to be careful because these are shark infested waters we are swimming in.

All these issues can add stress to your life and they can side-track your business if you allow it. If you are suffering from "MLM Woes", here are a few ways you can stay focused:

DON'T believe everything you see or hear! Remember, you won't get rich overnight -- no matter who tells you that you can, and they have done it, and (again, for a price) they can do it for you too!

Also, realize that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Everything has a cost attached to it, whether it be monetary or time related.

Control the growth of your business. Sometimes in our enthusiasm, we get involved in several opportunities too soon. Start slow. Find a product line you truly believe in and get that off the ground before you begin anything else.

Nurture and encourage personal relationships, whether it be on the internet, by telephone, or in person. This is a business where you need people. Maybe you have met them in a chat room, or they might be your cashier at the grocery store. You just never know who will be able to help your business, so never dismiss anyone!

Take time to relax and enjoy life. Yes, a business takes time to become successful. Remember, the reason most of us became involved in MLM was to spend more time doing the things we enjoy with people we enjoy. Make it a point to get away from your business for a short time every day.

SMILE!! And know that as long as you stay active and work your business consistently, you will be successful in MLM. If you are affiliated with a good MLM program, it will always be too soon to give up!

What You Must Know In Order To Succeed In Your Network Marketing Business

By: Roger Loh

There are many reasons why people fail in network marketing.

However, instead of looking into each of these causes, the purpose of this article is to explain what people MUST know when they start their network marketing business so that they will have a better chance to succeed.

This is what you must know in order to succeed in your network marketing business:

1) What is your "job" scope?

2) What is expected of you in your "job"?

3) What you should expect in your "job"?

Network marketing is a business and not a job! In fact, in the network marketing or MLM circle, the acronym J.O.B. stands for:

- Just Obey Boss (Work on a job and take orders from the boss.)

- Just Over Broke (Work on a job, get paid, and after you pay all your bills, you'll be just over broke.)

- Journey Of the Broke (Work on a job and you'll likely end up broke after working their whole life!)

- Jump Out of Bed (Hit the alarm clock and jump out of bed each morning to get yourself ready for another day's work.)

So, what am I talking about?

WHAT IS YOUR "JOB" SCOPE?

Say, you check out a job on a classified ad. You'll be looking at the job title and then the job description. Some ads are so small that you really wonder what's involved. So, you write that perfect job application letter, update your resume and secure your interview. And besides the salary that you'd most interested in, you'd be finding out the duties and responsibilities of the job.

Bottom line: You know the scope of your job when you get one.

Now, when you start out in your network marketing business, do you know your "job" scope?

As a network marketer, this is your "job" scope:

- Understand your product and offerings

> Learn about the products especially those that you want to focus on (if your company offers a wide range)

> Find out the unique selling proposition of your products. In other words, what are the benefits of your products?

> Be a product of your products so as to know their pros and cons and you'll be able to share from first-hand experience.

- Understand the company, its mission and vision

> Find out when and how was the company started

> Find out who owns it and who's who in the management team

> Find out where are the regional offices (if any) and visit some of them if possible

> Know the company's mission and its vision

- Understand the compensation plan

> Study the compensation plan and know how to explain to others clearly

> Know the merits of your company's compensation plan and how it compare with other compensation plans.

- Understand the network marketing industry

> Find out about the network marketing industry and how it started

> Study the difference between legitimate network marketing and illegal pyramids

- Build your network through duplication

> Realize that network marketing is not sales but a "people" business

> Build your network through your circle of influence and relationship, friendship, partnership and leadership

> Provide training and support to duplicate your downline business partners

> Multiply your efforts so as to grow your business exponentially through the power of LEVERAGE

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU IN YOUR "JOB"?

Once you got that job and started working, you are expected to learn and pick up your skills from your seniors and your peers and even from your subordinates.

It is in fact not much different in network marketing. And these are the things that are expected of you:

- To get into a "business" mind set

> Realize that since this is a business, you must take responsibility as a business owner

> As you are your own boss, you owe it to no one except yourself whether you succeed or fail

> A business takes time to grow, so be patient with yourself

> Network marketing is a "get rich sure" and not a "get rich quick" business

- To practice the "success" mind set

> Set your goals and plan your strategy, then take action

> When you do not get the results you want, don't give up easily but adjust your strategy and take action again

> Keep adjusting your strategy as necessary to achieve the results you want

> In this business, you cannot fail if you practice the "success" mind set

- To have the right attitudes

> In network marketing, you can only succeed if you help others succeed

> Use less of "I, me, myself" and think about how you can add value to your prospects and partners

> Be prepared to walk the extra mile and get busy once your network starts to grow

> How fast your network grows depends on you as you are the leader of your own network

> Whatever you DO, not whatever you say, is duplicated by your network

- To learn the "business" skills

> It's not money that makes you rich, it's business skills

> Learn the basic business skills that you need to make this business work

> These are essentially inter-personal and communication skills encompassing prospecting, inviting, presenting, closing, following up, training and support

- To share the business with others

> If you had started a traditional business with $100,000, would you open your door to do business everyday? Yes, of course.

> Network marketing is a word of mouth business. Thus, to do business means you simply tell others about your products or services.

> When you share your business everyday, you are in fact opening your door to do business everyday.

> Sharing your business is just making a referral. Do not confuse it with selling. A good example is to refer a friend to a restaurant because you thought the food was great. However, you most likely won't know how they cook or what ingredients the chefs use. You just loved the taste of the food or perhaps the service there.

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT IN YOUR "JOB"?

Once you got that job and started working, you are expected to learn and pick up your skills as soon as possible but not instantly. (Unless of course you already have relevant experience in a previous similar job.) So, you actually go through a probation period of 3, 6, 12 or even 24 months. And then, initially, there's so much to learn and so exciting. However, this wears out as time goes by...

It is in fact not much different in network marketing. And these are the things that you should expect:

- There is a learning curve

> No matter how simple your product or compensation plan seems, there is simply a learning curve

> If you are starting network marketing from scratch, you need time to learn and develop the "business" and "success" mind sets as well as your "business" skills.

- Your initial excitement will not last long

> Your initial excitement when you join a network marketing company can only last for 1 to 2 months

> So, you need to maintain your enthusiasm by building your belief and commitment by attending meetings, training, reading or listening to audio, etc

- Replenishment is necessary

> People come and people will go whether in jobs or in network marketing

> As this is inevitable, you need to constantly replenish your network by sponsoring new people till you reach a critical mass whereby the growth in your network exceeds the attrition rate. I have written an article, “How To Create A Surefire Stream Of Prospects For Your Network Marketing Business” which you can download from http://www.rogerloh.com/mlmtips

- There will always be rejection

> No one has a 100% record in sponsoring no matter how good they are.

> Realize that rejection is part of the "job" and that they are rejecting the opportunity, not you

> Dismiss the rejection by chanting, "Some will, some won't, so what, someone else is waiting"

> There are many reasons why people reject your business opportunity. It could be due to money, time, family or personal problems, fear of rejection, fear of failure, etc.

> There is a ratio like 1 in 10 will join you after you share your business with them. So, the key is to share with as many people as possible. And the good news is that your ratio will increase.

To recap, this is what you must know in order to succeed in your network marketing business:

1) What is your "job" scope?

2) What is expected of you in your "job"?

3) What you should expect in your "job"?
